Why it's important to have baby's movement, reflexes and locomotion development checked? BABIES SHOULD HAVE A CHECK-UP BY 4 WEEKS TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS ANY FAULTY PATTERN DEVELOPING.
THE LONGER THESE FAULTY MOVEMENTS ARE PRESENT IN THE BODY, THE HARSHER THE EFFECT ON THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND on the IDEAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE BABY. Where baby has a delay in reaching certain milestones or where there is development delay it is wise to check the babies movement patterns that have developed and to take any necessary action to correct any faulty pattern that may exist.
We are born with special reflexes, where if there is problem with the nervous system, these reflexes will remain active and affect movements for the baby and subsequently, the adult. Compensating movement patterns will develop and the child will have these patterns “fixed” into the nervous system, affecting development. Examples of movements that should occur by age: Baby turning by 4.5-6 months Baby Crawling by 7-7.5 months Baby Walking by 10-12 months BABIES SHOULD HAVE A CHECK-UP BY 4 WEEKS TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS A FAULTY PATTERN DEVELOPING. |
